This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use Stegra.io ("the service", "the application" or "Stegra") and login with your account.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you register or login with a third-party identity provider such as Google, we may collect the following information from your account:

  • Your profile name
  • Your email address (if you have granted us access to it)
  • Any other information you have made public on the login provider account profile

In addition, we may collect the following information from your use of the service:

  • Information about your device, such as device type, operating system, and browser type
  • Your IP address and location data
  • Information about your use of the service, such as the routes you have created, downloaded, uploaded or viewed
  • Your billing address and country when purchasing different member levels

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and improve the service
  • To provide better performance and functionality
  • To personalize your experience with the service
  • To communicate with you about the service and respond to your inquiries
  • To provide you with marketing and promotional materials
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To comply with our tax obligations

We may also share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, and marketing services.

3. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and similar technologies—such as local storage—only to the extent strictly necessary for the secure and efficient operation of our application. We do not use these technologies for tracking, advertising, analytics, or any other non-essential purposes. Their use is limited to providing core functionality and a stable, consistent user experience.

ESSENTIAL COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE

Essential technologies, including cookies and local storage, are required for the application to function properly and cannot be disabled without impacting core features. These are set solely in response to your actions or settings, such as:

  • Logging in and maintaining your session
  • Storing language or interface preferences
  • Caching map data for performance
  • Temporarily saving route-planning edits or workspace state

These technologies do not store personal information beyond what is strictly necessary to provide these essential features. They are never used for tracking, advertising, analytics, or data sharing outside of core operations.

THIRD-PARTY PAYMENT COOKIES

When you make a purchase or subscribe to a paid feature, trusted third-party payment providers (such as Stripe or Paddle) may set their own cookies or similar technologies. These are used exclusively to:

  • Securely process payments
  • Prevent fraud
  • Meet legal and compliance requirements

We do not control these third-party technologies, and they are not used by us for any tracking or non-payment purposes. For more details, please review their respective policies:

  • Stripe Cookies Policy
  • Paddle GDPR Policy

MANAGING COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE

You may configure your browser to block or alert you about cookies or other storage technologies. However, because we only use essential technologies, disabling them may cause the application to function incorrectly or fail to operate at all. This may affect core features such as login, route-planning, or payment processing. We do not use any optional, non-essential, or tracking cookies.

4. GPS NAVIGATION AND LOCATION DATA COLLECTION

We utilize GPS-position to provide you with navigation and position data within the app, upon your consent.

By saving recorded rides using the navigation feature in the app, you consent to the collection and use of your location and movement data. This data is essential for your personal history within the application. We also use this data to improve our services. We commit to handling your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, ensuring its security and confidentiality.

We and our third-party service providers may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the service and your device. This information may include your IP address, browser type, and operating system. We use this information to improve the service and personalize your experience.

5. YOUR CHOICES

You may choose to disable cookies and other tracking technologies on your device. However, this may affect your ability to use the service.

6. DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on this page. Your continued use of the service after the posting of a revised version constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
